Help us map a vibrant future along the Purple Line Corridor!

Purple Line Community Compact Workshop
Part 2, November 17

Hosted by the Purple Line Corridor Coalition

Join us for Session 2 of this two-part workshop to identify common goals and priorities for the Purple Line Community Compact, a shared commitment to support communities along the corridor.

Coordinating Partners:

What is the Purple Line Compact? The Purple Line Community Compact will present a common vision for the future of the corridor—revitalizing and stabilizing mixed income neighborhoods, preserving community assets, supporting small businesses, connecting workers to jobs and creating healthy and vibrant communities—and a strategy for achieving that vision. Community compacts are non-binding agreements that state the intent of signatories to work together toward common objectives. The development of the Purple Line Community Compact will build on the March 2014 "Beyond the Tracks" workshop findings.

Who should attend? Leaders from local and state government, community organizations, civic associations, chambers of commerce, business and merchant associations, design and development firms, philanthropic organizations, faith communities, neighborhood groups, tenant associations and others with significant interest in the health and vitality of the Purple Line corridor.

Registration is required.  Leaders are encouraged to attend both workshops to contribute at every stage of the compact development.  Space is limited. Please limit the number of attendees from any one organization to two or three representatives.

Learn more at www.smartgrowth.umd.edu/plcompact where you can find background materials, sample compacts and more.
