Please join us for the 2019 Winter Subsection Officer Training and Trustee Meeting to be held February 20-22 at the Heathman Lodge. This is an opportunity to participate you will not want to miss!

You are responsible for your hotel accommodations and I urge you to make reservations NOW. The hotel must receive your reservations no later than January 28th to receive the discounted rate.  The room rate is $131, plus tax.  Reservations made after that date are subject to availability and rates are not guaranteed. The Section will reimburse for hotel accommodations for your Subsection leaders on Wednesday evening and Thursday evening if they stay for the Trustee Meeting on Friday. You must stay for the Trustee Meeting to receive reimbursement. Email your paid receipt to the Section office immediately following the meeting for reimbursement.

We kick off our two day training with a Meet and Greet at the hotel on Wednesday, February 20 at 5:00pm. Thursday will be a full day of training including a NEW breakout session at the end of the day. You will have your choice of attending:

  • Breakout One - Perfect for new subsection officers this breakout will focus on: communciation tools, subsection finances and using Constant Contact and PayPal. Please bring your laptop or tablet for our hands on communication lab!
  • Breakout Two - Veteran subsection officers won't want to miss Coaching Skills for Volunteer Leaders presented by Scott Sadler of Creative Conflict Solutions. Learn how to engage your members and accomplish more with less effort!

On Friday, February 9 we conclude our training with the the Section Trustee Meeting where we will hear updates from all of our subsections.

The Subsection Advisory Council has prepared a fully packed agenda and we encourage you to arrive on time and be ready to participate as we learn new and effective ways to communicate to our members while managing our Section resources.

We are looking forward to seeing you in February!
