  Cat Dental Care Workshop

Prevention Starts at Home

Just like with humans, good oral hygiene plays a key role in your cat’s overall health and daily comfort.  Preventing plaque and tartar accumulation will pay big dividends later for your furry little companion(s). Periodontal disease can lead to more serious diseases, if left untreated.

Join us as Dr. Amy Fulton, a board-certified specialist in veterinary dentistry, presents an informative workshop on what to be aware of in your cat’s mouth and how to prevent and/or control periodontal disease.   A live demonstration will give you a better perspective on the health and condition of your own cat’s oral hygiene.

Because cats can be reluctant to accept home oral hygiene care, and require a very gradual, gentle and patient approach, Dr. Fulton will offer safe and helpful tips and tricks on how to achieve dental care success at home, along with a variety of appropriate oral hygiene options available for home care.

Dr. Amy Fulton is a Board-certified veterinary dentist at Aggie Animal Dental Center in Mill Valley, CA. Dr. Fulton grew up outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before attending Cornell University in upstate New York, from which she graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2009. After successfully completing a rotating internship in small animal medicine and emergency at Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Fulton completed the 3-year residency in Dentistry and Oral Surgery at the University of California, Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. She completed this residency program in August 2013, becoming a board-certified specialist in 2014, earning her Diploma from the American College of Veterinary Dentistry. She has worked at the Aggie Animal Dental Center on Miller Ave in Mill Valley for the last 2 years with Dr. Milinda Lommer, Marin's only other veterinary dental specialist, and Dr. Alex Hawley a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist. Dr. Fulton has two cats, Teddie and Nuggen, who traveled with her from the East Coast to the West Coast who have their teeth brushed every day!

To attend this workshop, please reserve your space early.

Seating space is limited.

The cost is $10 per person.  All proceeds go directly to Jake’s Place Cat Rescue.
