God Provoke Us With Your Presence – A Retreat with John Bell

Sunday, October 9, through Tuesday, October 11

Rev. John Bell, International Musician, Speaker & Retreat Leader

pro•voke (pr. vok); verb
“synonyms: arouse, produce, evoke, cause, give rise to, occasion, call forth, elicit, induce, excite, spark off, touch off, kindle, generate, engender, instigate, result in, lead to, bring on, precipitate, prompt, trigger”

So why would we invite God to provoke us? Provoking can be beneficial and generative. It can cause us to question our habitual ways of being in the world with greater vigor and insight. It can launch us on a journey in which God calls us to become participants rather than spectators. It can spur us to a dynamic discipleship which recognizes that God is already active within the world, and invites us to join God where God already is.

John Bell has travelled the world to share the gritty, honest truth found in Scripture. Come to be inspired by his stories and music. Come to be reminded of what Christian faith is when it reflects the teachings of Jesus. Come to know that “spirituality is the oil which fuels the machinery by which we relate to God, to God’s world, and to God’s people.” This retreat will be based on Christian values of inclusion and hospitality whereby those who belong to Jesus see themselves as belonging to each other, and all others.

Registration includes the Big World, Big Sing on Sunday (7 pm - 9 pm), retreat and lunch on Monday (9 am - 4 pm) and retreat on Tuesday (9 am - Noon).

$115 when received by September 22; $130 thereafter.

Please register by September 23.

Payment in full is due prior to arrival.
