Our inaugural Ride for the Future in 2012 brought us 15 bikes and 25 participants!

7th Annual Boys & Girls Clubs Ride for the Future 

Come ride with us in our 7th Annual Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes & Perham Ride for the Future!

Ride for the Future is a motorcycle ride to raise awareness for Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes & Perham and the programs and activities it provides for 850+ youth in Becker & Otter Tail Counties in Minnesota.

This event promises to be fun for motorcycle enthusiasts that wish to support our goals to help local children succeed academically, socially, and civically.  Our ride focuses on raising community awareness of our mission and our work.  Come learn about us - we would love to have you along!

Ride for the Future will take place on Saturday, July 7, 2018.  Event-day registration and check-in will begin near the Detroit Lakes Pavilion in the Detroit Lakes City Park in Detroit Lakes, MN at 9:00 a.m.  All participants (passengers, too!) MUST check-in at the registration table to sign a liability waiver.

The first 50 bikes to check-in will receive a gift bag. In addition, the 75th bike to register will receive a special prize sponsored by Schultz Garage.

Our group will depart together from the Pavilion at 10:00 a.m.  A approximate 100-mile route has been planned that will take us through our beautiful Minnesota lakes country. A map of our event - including our lunch stop - will be provided at check-in. Lunch is included in the cost of the ride.

Like in other years, we will offer opportunities for you to participate in drawings to win cool prizes.  Plan to hang out with us all day because you must be present to win!

The cost for the ride is $20 per bike + $10 per 2-up. Riders and passengers can register two ways:

  • Online registrations will be accepted through Friday, July 6, 2018.  Secure online payments are handled by PayPal.
  • Register at the Detroit Lakes Pavilion between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. the day of the ride.

All riders and passengers must check-in at the Pavilion on July 7 to complete a liability waiver prior to departure.
