NPFA 1 Fire Code Training 

Course Overview:
This 3-day course will enable the attendee to locate code sections applicable to a variety of fire safety topics covered in NFPA 1, Fire Code. Attendees will acquire the knowledge and skills to conduct compliance inspections of new and existing installations via classroom instruction using lecture, visual aids, and application exercises.

Course Objectives:
Attendees will have been provided the necessary skills and knowledge to:
• Understand the organization of NFPA 1; 
• Locate and apply the classification of Occupancies;
• Locate and apply requirements regarding fire resistance and fire doors; 
• Locate and apply requirements for safeguards during building construction; 
• Locate and apply requirements for commercial cooking operations; 
• Locate and apply basic requirements for flammable liquids;
• Locate and apply requirements for refuse and waste handling;
• Locate and apply basic requirements for spray finishing operations;
• Locate and apply basic requirements for the different occupancies.
