Inaugural
UT System Behavior Intervention Team Conference
September 12-13, 2022
The University of Texas Permian Basin
Odessa, Texas
The University of Texas System recognized the need for behavior intervention teams to collaborate on best practices for managing personal and campus safety concerns. In 2019, campus leaders began meeting on a regular basis to share resources and create a community of experts. One major focus has been the need for ongoing training for those who serve on these committees.
This year, the University of Texas System invites state institutions to the inaugural Texas Behavior Intervention Team Conference. The conference focuses on threat mitigation training, best practices from state experts, and relationship building across the state.
