Evan Haskins, Director of Health & Safety for BlueRoc, Using Behavioral Safety to Avoid "The Cliff" will focus on the relationship between accidents, human performance, and an organization’s safety culture, as well as steps an employer can take to foster an attitude of incident prevention. Nicholas Brazee, UMass Extension Plant Pathologist, will review Pests and Pathogens of 2019, with an emphasis on the issues most common in western Massachusetts. Some examples will include winter burn, maple and sycamore anthracnose, and the oak shothole leafminer/oak anthracnose outbreak from early in the growing season.
