Homeless Experiences of Menstruation: Film and Panel Discussion 

This Cycle Series film, Homeless Experiences of Menstruation, focuses on the challenges associated with menstrual hygiene management and access to essential resources for the homeless in Pittsburgh, PA. The film shares the perspective of a woman who experienced homelessness in Pittsburgh, and highlights the variety of needs that should be considered in designing interventions. The film features SisterFriend, and our efforts to provide menstrual hygiene resources to women in need in the Pittsburgh area.   

The short film will be followed by a panel discussion featuring practitioners who are working with the homeless community in Pittsburgh.

Cycle Series is a short documentary film series created by BCHS PhD student Sara Baumann, which explores an array of menstrual experiences from a public health perspective.
