Funding Your Business - FREE Workshop Sponsored by Gorham Savings Bank

This is a FREE Workshop sponsored by Gorham Savings Bank - space is limited and preregistration is required.

Join us for this important Workshop on raising money for your business. Access to capital remains an important requirement to start or grow your business. Learn what are available sources of funding.

Whether you are starting a new business or expanding an existing one finding the necessary financing and capital is a challenge. This workshop provides important information on the potential sources of financing.

You might start with your own resources, or receive help from family or friends. Understand the difference between a “gift”, a “loan” and an investment.

Seeking a grant or SBA guarantee or a micro loan? Learn where to look, who may provide one, the conditions and requirements, whether matching funds may be necessary. Find out what is available.

Going to the bank? Learn what the bank will expect from you, the six “C’s” of bank lending, what may be available in the way of collateral or credit enhancement. Know what you will have to do to get a bank loan.

Thinking about attracting investors? Be sure to understand what it means to take on an investor; know what investors look for; learn about an “exit strategy”. Learn whether Crowd Funding makes sense for your business.
