HOT SATURDAY NIGHT!
On July 21st, from 4:00-7:00pm, Savannah Children's Museum is hosting the first Hot Saturday Night at Exploration Station. Bring your family and enjoy the exhibits as the sun goes down.
For this event, we are holding our very own Sock Puppet Circus based on the book, ''The Day the Sock Circus Came to Town" by local children's author, Nelson Elliot Gassman. Children and adults will get an opportunity to create their own sock puppet and enjoy fun, circus-themed activities with their creation. We look forward to welcoming the author of this adorable children's book to the event as well!
We know that you probably have plenty of single socks at home that have mysteriously lost their match, so bring them with you and give them a new life as a sock puppet! If you forget to bring a sock with you, we are providing single socks for only $1. You are not limited to one sock puppet creation per person... so feel free to make a family of pedi-puppets with us!
Nelson Elliot Gassman, the author, will be on hand selling limited edition, autographed copies of his book for only $12! There are only 60 of these books available, so make sure to get one for your bookshelf! He has been gracious enough to donate part of the proceeds to Savannah Children's Museum as well. At this time, we are only accepting cash and checks for the purchase of these books.
If you are already a Savannah Children's Museum member, the cost is only $5 per family (which includes up to 5 total people).
If you are not already a Savannah Children's Museum member, the cost is our regular admission price of $7.50 per person over the age of 1. You may also choose to purchase a membership either online at our membership page, or when you arrive. Family memberships start at only $65!
We look forward to seeing you and your family there!
