ASAP Needs Your Help
Please Help Us Continue Our Important Work
Every day since the Governor announced emergency measures to address the COVID-19 crisis, ASAP has been working with prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery programs to provide information and support as they heroically help others deal with the pandemic. Since the start of COVID-19, we have been holding daily meetings, attended by an average of 125 provider agency leaders from across New York on weekdays and 30 on weekends, for program staff to discuss their needs and challenges during the emergency. Calls have been specialized to meet specific needs. In addition to COVID-19 related issues, on Mondays our calls focus on regulatory and policy related issues, Tuesdays on medical and clinical issues, Wednesdays on business concerns, and Fridays on prevention. ASAP created a Coronavirus web page, which we update regularly and pack with vital information, and a quick response communication device (CoronaHelpLine@asapnys.org) for programs with pressing questions or information they want to share with the field. When people were in need, ASAP met that need with a meaningful response. We did all of this work because we care and feel a deep sense of responsibility to do what we can to help. In doing this work, ASAP absorbed the full cost and now we ask for your help to fund this vital work.
