HEALTH CARE IN CRISIS
Capitol Weekly and USC Price School present:
HEALTH CARE IN CRISIS – September 21, 2017
As Congress and the Trump administration struggle in their attempts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, California's leadership is trying to craft an effective response to the moves in Washington. While moderates seek to plug holes in California's existing health care system, progressives have proposed creating universal health care in California -- a popular solution until you factor in the projected $50 billion price tag. Meanwhile, the opiod crisis nears a boiling point, testing the limits of health care system not designed to handle it. Whatever happens in DC and Sacramento, California's health care system is poised to see major changes in the very near future.
