St. Ann's Faith Formation Registration

2020-2021

 

Dear Parents,

Without a doubt we are all looking to the upcoming academic school year with a lot of questions.  With these many questions in mind, Fr. John and I have spent a lot of time assessing our current program and making changes necessary to ensure that our students are able to complete the 2020-2021 faith formation year regardless of any interruptions that may arise.   It is our goal to continue our in-person Faith Formation classes.  In the event that we need to change to a virtual platform, we have switched to a program with a strong digital offering and will make a plan for virtual classes.   

Homeschool classes will continue to be an option for families; however, this new program will send assignments home digitally.   Students will be given a set number of days (approximately two weeks) to return these assignments.    There will no longer be a drop box at the church for book pages.  Please note, this homeschool program is meant to be taught to children by their parents/guardians, this program is not intended for children to complete by themselves.   

We’d like to send a huge thank you to all of you who volunteer your time as catechists, substitutes, and those who help in the office, at meetings, retreats and other activities. We appreciate your commitment and participation in our Faith Formation program. The program simply could not succeed without you. 

As you know, the catechists and substitute catechists that teach in our Faith Formation program are volunteers. Due to the large number of students in our program, we make every effort to keep our classes at a low student/teacher ratio. We ask you to consider assisting us as a catechist or office assistant (during class hours). Tuition is waived for the children of catechists and office assistants.  

 The schedule for 2020-20201 will be as follows:

 

Grade 1 & 2 will meet every other Sunday from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

Grade 3 & 4 will meet every other Monday from 5:30p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

Grade 5 & 6 will meet every other Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

Grade 7 & 8 will meet every other Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. 

Grade 9 will meet from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for nine scheduled Sunday Sessions

Grade 10 will meet from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for nine scheduled Sunday Sessions

 

Please note that students in our Confirmation Program are only allowed one missed class per year.  Any additional missed classes may result in postponing their Confirmation to the following year.   

This year we will be conducting our registration online.  If you would like to print your registration, you are welcome to do this and send it in by mail.  If you are enrolling a new student to the program, you must include a copy of his/her baptismal certificate unless he or she was baptized here at St. Ann’s, Raynham.  Catechists and classes are assigned the week of July 19h. Therefore, all children – those already attending, new family members, and new residents entering the program for the first time – MUST BE REGISTERED AT THIS TIME. 

                                                                                               

Tuition Fees for 2020-2021

Students who register prior to June 30^th will be eligible for the early registration rates indicated on the registration form.  You will find the registration link on https://stannsraynham.org/faith-formation/

Before June 30th

Kindergarten (optional year) = $40

1 Student = $50 + Sacramental Fees (if Applicable)

Family Cap = $140 + Sacramental Fees (if Applicable)

Homeschool (Grades 3-8) = $40

 

After June 30th

Kindergarten (optional year) = $50

1 Student = $60 + Sacramental Fees (if Applicable)

Family Cap = $150 + Sacramental Fees (if Applicable)

Homeschool (grades 3-8) = $50

 

Sacramental Fees Grades 2,9 and 10

Grade 2 Communion $20/child                     

Grade 9 Retreat $40/child                 

Grade 10 Confirmation $20/child       

 

**Please note that there will be no refunds after August 1st**

Parents are reminded that First Communion is a two-year program. Children must attend both grades one and two to become eligible to receive First Communion in Spring of the second year.  Children attending parochial school are not required to attend classes here at St. Ann’s. Parochial school students planning on receiving First Communion here at St. Ann’s in Spring 2021, must be parishioners at St. Ann’s and should notify us at this time.

Confirmation preparation is a two-year program as well. Students must attend both grades nine and ten to become eligible to receive Confirmation in the spring of their second year of formation.  Students enrolled in Catholic high schools are required by Diocesan statutes to attend Confirmation classes in their home parishes.  These students should be registered at this time.
