Everybody's a critic—but a person needs to have an impressive wealth of knowledge, a strong voice and a competent grasp of the English language in order to be a good, professional critic.

In this course, former News & Observer film critic/pop-culture columnist Craig D. Lindsey will teach the necessary tools, skills and guidelines needed for those who've always wanted to be like Roger Ebert, but didn't know where to begin. He will also instruct students on what is needed in order to become a professional columnist.
