Model United Nations is a simulation of the United Nations where students role-play ambassadors debating diverse topics. This cooperative, hands-on, experiential learning allows students to confront a range of topics with the perspective of their assigned country. From public speaking to critical thinking and in-depth research, student delegates draw a wealth of knowledge from the Model United Nations experience.
Students develop an appreciation of differing viewpoints, experience the challenges of negotiation, see the rewards of cooperation, broaden their worldview, and discover the human side of international relations and diplomacy. Monday through Thursday will focus on research and preparation for the Friday conference, where parents and other community members are welcome to watch the final conference.
