Doran School Parent Academy Night

Please join us for a Parent Academy Family Night at the Doran Community School on Tuesday, April 3rd. FREE Classes, FREE pizza for the whole family and FREE babysitting.

Classes to be Offered:

No I Won't & You Can't Make Me - We all know what it is like to be in a power struggle with a child. Porwer struggles are filled with tension, anger & provocation. This class is designed to teach some strategies to address difficult behaviors. 

Tae Kwon Do -Families will have the opportunity to work together as they learn self-defense skills, as well as self-discipline. Participants will also learn important life skills including building confidence, self control, loyalty, respect, and integrity. 

Talk, Listen Talk - Do you want to learn how to better communicate with your child? Do you want to help your children make better choices? Kids are dealing with so many issues in today's society, peer pressure, byllying, drugs and sex to name a few. This workshop will teach you skills to talk to your child about these important issues and share your values without ending in a fight. 

Family Yoga - Participants will gain a general knowledge of use of breath and large body movements to help provide a better sense of body awareness and promote increased mental focus and a relaxed state of mind and body. Specific yoga poses will be incorporated at an age-appropriate level.
