October 2017 BWC TTA Regional Meeting: BWC Implementation and Training

Please join us for the next Regional Conference for the national Body Worn Camera (BWC) Training and Technical Assistance Program in Omaha, NE on October 5-6, 2017.

The meeting will discuss promising practices in the development and implementation of body-worn camera training as well as provide chiefs and command staff with information regarding how to work with communities, the media, and officers regarding the implementation of body-worn cameras. The goal of this meeting is to assist BJA grantees and non-grantees as they implement body-worn camera programs. Police chiefs, their command staff, officers, local government officials, city managers, and other stakeholders are invited to attend and participate.  BJA policy advisors, law enforcement representatives and academic subject matter experts will lead plenary panels and workshops on planning, training, and policy issues related to BWC implementation in police agencies of various size and types, as well as the importance of training when implementing a BWC program.
