Gary and Carole Wilder are volunteers partnering with Bethany’s Gait in creating opportunities for our fellow equine enthusiasts. Our goal is to create an enjoyable environment where we challenge ourselves and our horses to advance our skills while enjoying the friendship and camaraderie of other riders. The upside of this is that all proceeds go directly to benefit a fantastic 501(c)(3) charity – Bethany’s Gait - to support their programs.
Bethany's Gait is dedicated to "Rescuing Horses, Restoring Lives". The programs offered by Bethany's Gait were created specifically for active duty, reserve and veteran military personnel, first responders and their families. One of the things that makes the program unique is that Bethany's Gait is also a horse rescue. They have found that bringing the rescue horses together with the people offers a dynamic situation where horses and humans heal through a bond that is developed based on unconditional love, unwavering trust and a keen understanding of what the other has been through. Bethany's Gait is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ranch in Prescott, AZ.

100% OF PROCEEDS BENEFITTING BETHANY'S GAIT, PRESCOTT,
Welcome to Estrella Mountain Regional Park. These 19,840 acres of desert and mountains became the first regional park in the Maricopa County Park system in 1954. Located near the meeting of the Gila and Agua Fria Rivers in the southwest Valley, the park includes seasonal wetlands or riparian areas during the winter and monsoon rains. The majority of the park remains pristine desert, very similar in appearnace to the landscape seen by the first settlers and explorers. The sierra Estrella Range, or Star Mountains, was once within the Mexican border, and remainded so until the Gadsen Purcahse in 1853.
Easy access off I-10. Plenty of parking for big rigs. Dry camping. Horse water available. Questions: call Susan at 520-686-0657, Yvonne at 520-705-5307, Gary at 928-595-0428 or Carole at 602-686-2435 email: glwild@hotmail.com
This is a clinic we have always wanted to do and we thank Susan Shuford (520-686-0657) and Yvonne Corley (520-705-53070 for heading up the first clinic. Gary and Carole are assisting Susan and Yvonne.
This two-day clinic is designed to help you understand the finer points of horsemanship by using soft and effective cues to "whisper" instructions to your horse. This clinic will support, encourage and give pointers to those new to the sport or those looking to improve their scores at horse obstacle competitions.
We have 8 clinicians, judges and buckle series winners from last season participating with teaching, providing pointers and showing techniques to improve your horsemanship skills, riding skills and scoring at our contests. Horsemanship work will be done in a large group setting and obstacle work will be done in a small group setting.
There will be ample time to apply the skills you have learned during the practice time where you will receive direct one-on-one feedback.
