The theme of this year’s banquet is “Advancing Together." The event will feature keynote speaker Imam Suhaib Webb along with other local and international speakers.

He is a graduate of University of Central Oklahoma with a background in Education & Azhar University from the College of Shariah (Islamic Law & Jurisprudence). He frequently lectures on Islam, media relations, civil rights, hate crimes and international affairs pertaining to American Muslims. He has consistently appeared in local, national, and international media advocating and articulating the mainstream Muslim position on various issues. Hussam holds a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Texas, Austin in 1994 and an M.B.A. degree from California State University, Fullerton in 1999.

Muneer Awad is a Palestinian-American political activist and attorney from Marietta, Georgia. He is the former Executive Director of both the Oklahoma and New York chapters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. In October 2010 Awad was named executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) branch in Oklahoma. Immediately after his appointment, 70% of Oklahoma voters cast ballots in favor of a ban on sharia law known as "State Question 755", which was to be added to the Constitution of Oklahoma. Awad and CAIR filed suit against the Oklahoma State Election Board aiming to block the amendment on the grounds that it would make Oklahoma's constitution a vehicle for "an enduring condemnation" of Islam.

Razi Hashmi served as the first Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma (CAIR-OK) having served the organization from its birth until 2010 when Muneer Awad took over the position. During his tenure with CAIR-OK he developed relations with the media, interfaith leaders, governmental officials, educators, law enforcement, and various other civic leaders to further the mission of CAIR. Hashmi graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies focusing in the Middle East and a minor in Philosophy.
