The UNSW Startup Games 2015

     

               What is UNSW Startup Games all about?

Are you a current UNSW Student or recent Alumni with a serious interest in becoming an entrepreneur?

Haven't tried before yet but looking for a platform to develop an idea into a real startup business?

Already an entrepreneur but keen to start something new with a new team?

On behalf of UNSW, UNSW Innovations has partnered with program leader and key mentor Bart Jellema and many other amazing mentors to bring to you a very special program: UNSW Startup Games.

* Pitch yourself as an amazing potential team member, develop ideas, form teams, validate business concepts and markets, prototype and perfect the startup pitch!

* Not a spectator sport, the UNSW Startup Games demands 4 of your weekends throughout March - this means its all or nothing in terms of commitment!

* Strengthen your network with fellow entrepreneurial students and alumni, seasoned entrepreneurs and other amazing folk from the startup ecosystem and industry

* Prizes include $2,000 cash for the winning team generously sponsored by two young UNSW alumni passionate about entrepreneurship: Anatoly Logunov and Mitchell Kardan. Other prizes to be announced and all teams that survive the games will automatically qualify for UNSW Innovations Student Entrepreneur Development support including mentoring and access to thousands of dollars worth of free services from Google, AWS, Elance-oDesk and more.

Saturday & Sunday on March 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22 & 29 for a 9am - 5pm (3 - 6pm on the final day, March 29th)

For those interested in applying to be a part of this year's games, please fill out the form linked below. Read the instructions carefully and note the creation of a Youtube video and link to that video is also required.

Applications are open only to current UNSW students and recent alumni (up to 5 years after graduation). 

Only 30 applicants will be accepted into this program. More information is also available here at our website  

All applications will be judged as individuals (not teams) and applicants must be prepared to work on new ideas.

               Applications close Sunday March 1st, 2015.
