SSEA the Sound Cruise

October 9, 2016,  1pm – 5pm is the date for the 8th annual SSEA the Sound  Cruise. This year's four (4) hour cruise of south Puget Sound featuring science, snacks, spirits and special guest, on board the luxury yacht, MY GIRL.

Our special guests this year are Dr. Dayv Lowry and Phill Dionne of Washington Fish and Wildlife.  Their presentation is titled "The Conservation of Dinner: Why Forage Fish Matter".

Don’t miss this afternoon of fun, friendship, enlightenment, and something good to eat.

All proceeds benefit SSEA’s mission to create opportunities for residents and visitors, of all ages, to access marine/estuary education.  Our  mission is to foster learning opportunities that inspire people of all ages to connect with, protect, and enjoy the unique estuary environment of south Puget Sound.

The Estuarium, 309 State Ave. NE, Olympia, offers opportunities to learn about estuaries, geology, natural and cultural history, marine life, human impact on the Puget Sound and view LIVE marine animals.  It is open 11 - 4 on Saturday and Sunday.

The cruise departs from Port Plaza Dock in Olympia and tickets are $75 each for non-members and $65 for members.
