Instructor: Jake Solis, Co-Founder of 1+1 TECHNOLOGY

BIO:  Jake started in the IT industry in 1997 at the world’s 3rd largest IT distributor, Synnex Corporation, a Fortune 500 company founded in 1980 and based in Fremont, California. He quickly worked his way up the inside sales ranks as a top performer. He consumed manufacturer trainings and quickly became a server component expert.

When he left Synnex at the end of 2004 he was managing a HPC component sales team responsible for $200mm in annual revenue.

In 2005 Jake was hired by one of his best customers, commodity Supercomputer manufacturer, PSSC Labs, based in Lake Forest, California. While at PSSC Labs Jake quickly became an industry expert in the design and deployment of application specific HPC Clusters.

In 2008 PSSC Labs ventured into Big Data and partnered with commercial Hadoop vendors, MapR, Cloudera and Hortonworks. Jake spearheaded this effort in building relationships and learning the technology.

While Jake enjoyed working for PSSC Labs, consulting and providing HPC and Big Data solutions to the world’s most demanding computing environments, he realized there was a vast unserved market:  small businesses and nonprofits.

He left PSSC Labs and co-founded 1+1 TECHNOLOGY and created a platform for providing Enterprise IT at an SMB price.

Today 1+1 TECHNOLOGY is a Microsoft Cloud Solution partner and CompTIA certified Managed Services provider proudly serving the greater Bay Area.

Jake gives back to the local community as a Microsoft Community Connections speaker, delivering 60+ seminars a year.
