ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Long Island Nursery & Landscape Association awards program has been evolving for more than thirty five years. In that time, LINLA has recognized the outstanding talent of its members in the landscape design field. This program has been developed with many goals in mind, including the acknowledgement of excellence in landscape design and construction, to inspire creativity, recognize quality, educate our membership, and improve LINLA’s reputation and foster goodwill through friendly competition.

Each year entries are judged by a panel of horticultural experts, landscape architects, and architects. Every entry is evaluated on its own merits and projects are critiqued in the areas of design, use of plant materials, and landscape construction.

Competing firms may enter as many projects as they wish into any category. No portion or phase of a project may be entered in more than one category, and each project is judged on its merit regardless of size or type of project.

A small project, well-designed and executed, would fare better than an elaborate project of mediocre design and installation.

Good Luck to all the competitors!

DESIGN/BUILD ENVIRONMENTAL ENHANCEMENT AWARDS
