Nathan BlecharczykNathan Blecharczyk is the technical architect behind Airbnb. A pragmatist who translates vision and design into tangible product through fast iterations, Nathan uses data to identify and pursue high-growth opportunities. Under his leadership, the engineering team has developed a robust, secure marketplace which now facilitates a massive amount of commerce each day. Nathan got an early start in business and technology when he founded an online marketing company while still in high school. Since then he has worked as a program manager at Microsoft, engineer at OPNET Technologies, and lead developer at Batiq. Nathan graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Harvard University. When taking a break from coding, Nathan looks forward to the outdoor adventure of this listing next to Yosemite National Park. A true technologist, he one day hopes to see Bill Gates's home featured on the pages of Airbnb.

Charlie GrahamConfident that there had to be a “better way” to score great clothing deals online, Charlie Graham, a lover of sales and bargains, created a service that aims to be the most convenient and fun way to shop sales and discounts online. In the summer of 2005, the summer between his first and second year at Harvard Business School, Graham launched Shop It To Me, a website that sends its users free email alerts (SaleMail™) when designer clothing they want goes on sale in their sizes at major and boutique retailers. Prior to Shop It To Me, Graham co-founded Hipbone, Inc., a company which produced enterprise level web collaboration software for Fortune 500 customers. In 2004, Hipbone was acquired by Kana Communications. Charlie Graham holds an AB and an MBA from Harvard University.

Nathan StollNathan Stoll was formerly the co-founder and Keeper of Insectivores at Aardvark, a startup acquired by Google in February 2010. An early and long-time Googler, Nathan briefly returned to Google to help with the company's transition during the spring and summer of 2010. Aardvark is a social search tool that taps the knowledge of people in your network. Before leaving to start Aardvark, Nathan headed Google News, overseeing its rapid expansion to more than 40 countries and growth into one of the top global news sites. Earlier in his product management career at Google, Nathan launched Google Suggest, a search suggestion service now used in most Google searches. He worked extensively on the early Google Adwords system and with Google's internal analytics teams, and developed a number of patented pricing adjustment and forecasting models. Nathan holds a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Political Science from Stanford University.


Ravi BelaniRavi Belani is an advisor and seed investor in startups, including Komli, Justin.TV, Badgeville, Ondeego, Redux, and Booshaka. Ravi formerly spent six years as part of the internet investment team at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, where he led investments and served as a board member or observer on numerous companies, including Pubmatic, Vizu, and Yield Software. Prior to Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Ravi worked in product management at software startup Zaplet (acquired by MetricStream) and enterprise software company Extensity (IPOd then acquired by GEAC). Ravi has also worked as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company's San Francisco office, at Medtronic on wireless communication technologies for remote patient monitoring ,and in equity research at Bridgewater Associates.


Ravi is a Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi graduate of Stanford University, holding a BS with Distinction and MS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. Ravi also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. As a Board Fellow at Harvard, Ravi served the Global Board of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs). Ravi is also a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program.

E. TTodd Rumbergerhom ("Todd") Rumberger Jr. works with start up and emerging growth stage companies in the internet, software, communications, semiconductor, media and entertainment industries, and with the venture capital firms, other private equity investors and investment bankers involved in such co mpanies. Formerly with a Silicon Valley based venture capital firm, his practice focuses on representing start-up and emerging growth companies in matters ranging from formation, capitalization, and key executive employment matters to early and later stage financings (convertible debt and preferred equity), strategic partner and customer agreements, and acquisitions.  Todd also handles general corporate matters and transactions, with wide-ranging experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, buy-outs, complex commercial joint ventures and strategic partnering (with a special emphasis on Russia and Eastern Europe), and commercial space ventures.

The Alchemist Series

The Alchemist Series is targeted at young alums of Ivy League / Ivy League caliber universities with Computer Science and Engineering backgrounds.

The events are panel-driven discussions exploring significant milestones in the trajectory of the development of a business. The intent is to provide a toolkit to accelerate the progress over the six sessions.

The events will be held in the evenings on the 4th Wednesday of the months of September, November, January, March, May, and July from 2010– 2011. The venue host is Greenberg Traurig's office in San Francisco.
