The Delta/QEDC/QTC Spring 2013 All Star Networking Event
All are invited to network with professionals from a wide range of industries, enjoy Indian art, admire blossoming flowers, win airplane tickets, receive coupons for baseball tickets and eat food prepared by an award-winning restaurant.
On Thursday, April 4, the Queens Economic Development Corporation and the Queens Tourism Council will join forces with Delta, the Mets, Flushing Town Hall, Magna Restaurant, the Queens Women’s Business Center and the newly formed Queens Young Professionals group to host the Delta/QEDC/QTC Spring 2013 All Star Networking Event.
As 350 people attended the last QEDC/QTC networking event at LIC’s Z Hotel in August, as many as 400 people are expected to attend this upcoming event, which is scheduled for 6 pm to 9 pm at Flushing Town Hall, a landmarked venue at 137-35 Northern Blvd.
The event is free, and Magna Restaurant, which won the Best Entrée award at last year’s Queens Taste, will serve finger food. Lead sponsor Delta has donated two round-trip airplane tickets to anywhere in the U.S., which will be raffled off. The Mets will give buy-one-get-one-free tickets to the first 400 attendees.
Beyond the interesting people, great food and fantastic prize, attendees will have the chance to explore Flushing Town Hall, which has a 308-seat theater, a gallery and an outdoor garden. On this night, the venue will hold an opening night party for Erasing Borders, an exhibition of contemporary Indian painting, sculpture, video art, installation art and photography.
