2020 CMSM Collaborators Conference
Diversity of Ministry, Oneness of Mission

Opportunities to network with peers working for congregations and monasteries of men are rare, yet those connections and professional development opportunities provide a support system and knowledge to help us grow professionally. 

Welcome to the 2020 Collaborators Conference, which will bring together laity and religious engaged in administrative and leadership roles with and for congregations of men religious. Engage in professional development, networking, and workshops with others in your area of responsibility.

Topics will focus on four areas:

• Legal (possible topics: church insurance and uninsured losses from claims, AG investigations, statutes of limitations, bankruptcy, and indemnification)
• Finance (possible topics: internal controls, socially responsible investing, funding liabilities, and benefit eligibility)
• Fundraising (possible topics: current research in faith-based fundraising, assessing levels of need and generosity, evaluating  the needs of institutes, and a theology of money) 
• Communications (possible topics: crisis avoidance/management, promoting vocations and priorities, digital media, etc.) 

The full agenda will be available by September 1, 2019.

Registration and Lodging

Registation is $395 per person, which includes all programming; Monday lunch and dinner; Tuesday breakfast and lunch; and Wednesday breakfast and lunch.  Participants will have a free evening on Tuesday, and the Riverwalk is just a short Uber ride away.

The conference will be held at the DoubleTree San Antonio, which has offered us a special conference rate of $102 per night (plus tax).

Airport: The nearest airport is San Antonio International Airport. The DoubleTree San Antonio offers a free shuttle.  

Cancellation policy: Refunds will be given for cancellations made by December 20, less a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee. No refunds will be available after that time.
