NABA Jacksonville General Body Meeting 

NABA Jacksonville will be hosting a General Body Meeting on January 17th from 5:30pm to 6:45pm at the Winn-Dixie Corporate Headquarters.

The topic will be American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 brought to you by Jacqueline Morant, CPA and John Holmgren, CPA of CSX Corporation.

After months of delays and stalled negotiations, Congress passed and President Obama signed into law the 2012 American Taxpayer Relief Act (“Act”).  Passage of the Act averts the tax portion of the fiscal cliff. Without passage of the Act, individual income tax rates would have increased for all income tax groups and favorable treatment of qualified dividend income would have been eliminated. Capital gains rates and the estate tax exemption would have increased.  Many taxpayer’s friendly education, energy and business incentives would have expired. The course will provide highlights of the Act.
