Session Descriptions
During the registration process you will indicate which sessions you are attending. Read the descriptions below to prepare for the registration form.

Session Descriptions - Make your selections through registration

Exploration: Uncertain about what to study? Discover how the core curriculum benefits students, along with how academic advising and career services team members provide programming and support for a successful transition into an academic major(s). 

Academic Session: During this session, you will meet with faculty members from your intended major. Learn about internship and job opportunities, involvement in student organizations, travel opportunities, and highlights of your program. 

Ashbrook Scholar Program:  For students interested in majoring or minoring in History and/or Political Science. Learn about our dynamic classroom environment, exciting internships and engaging History and Political Science class programming and discussions with world leaders. Financial Aid Consultations: Consultations are available from 11:10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Students can review their financial aid award letter if they have already filed the FAFSA and had results submitted to Ashland University.  

Honors Program: Learn the benefits of the Honors Program through a discussion with honors students and the director.

Living Learning Community: Hear how you can live on the same floor in a residence hall with other students in your academic college your first year at AU. 

Study Abroad: Find out the diversity of opportunities available. 

Student Accessibility Services: Talk to a Student Accessibility Center representative about the coordination of accommodations for students. 

Transfer Session: Learn your next steps as a transfer student at Ashland University. New freshmen with college credits from high school should not attend this session.

Admissions Ambassador/Tour Guide Session: Learn more about becoming part of the team of students who serve as Tour Guides in the Admissions Office. Through an interactive session, you'll work on helpful skills and have the opportunity to co-lead a small tour with our current Tour Guide staff.
