This is a monthly event that brings back attendees and sponsors of the Asian American Business Expo. The mission is to promote entrepreneurship, leadership and job creation.

The Asian American Business Expo is a partnership of OCA Chicago, Korean-American Association of Chicago, U.S. Department of Commerce MBDA, City of Chicago's Office of New Americans, and Women's Innovation Network, and the Association of Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists.

About Lois White, Business Consultant

Lois White is an accomplished entrepreneur and business strategist who has provided consulting services to both Fortune 500 companies and small businesses.  She is the Founder and President of Purpose and Profits, SP, an Illinois based firm that specializes in the development of business and strategic plans and provides a broad range of business consulting services to small and mid-sized businesses.  

She has served as a Director and Business Consultant in the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the Joseph Center, as Senior Consultant at Lowry and Associates, and as Human Resources Director of both the Illinois and Florida offices of Publishers Circulation Fulfillment, the Customer Service and Sales arm of the New York Times. 

She assisted in the development of the entrepreneurship curriculum at the Joseph Business School and designed both the classroom and online training for the Human Resources Module of the program.  As a member of the Joseph Business School faculty, she taught Human Resources Management and mentored students through the 9 month curriculum and beyond.

Lois is SPHR-certified by the Society of Human Resources Management and has proven expertise in creating, leading and sustaining high performance Business Teams.  With over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational development, human resources management and entrepreneurship training, she is an expert in these areas and a strong proponent for continuous quality improvement and Lean philosophies. 

Lois received a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Illinois University and did her graduate work at Roosevelt University.  She also completed a post graduate curriculum in Public Administration at Roosevelt University.
