Description: As products continuously become available for contact lens wearers, practitioners are forced to stay current on what is available and what makes them different. Being up-to-date on the products and innovations taking place helps practitioners present the best options to patients. This course will cover new products that have come to market and will also try to answer some of the many questions that arise from practitioners that have been fitting these new products. Insight will be provided on the various changes taking place in the contact lens industry, including daily disposables, multifocals, digital optics, scleral lenses and more.

Methods and Devices for Myopia Management
Description: Today, there is significant interest in myopia. In fact, some have called the increasing numbers of myopic patients an epidemic or boom. So, how can myopia and in particular myopia progression be managed, or can it? Are contact lenses the best choice or only one of many? What is best? Spectacles, bifocal soft lenses, orthokeratology and pharmaceutical intervention all have demonstrated some level of success. This course will describe and discuss some of the key issues regarding myopia control, where contact lenses fit in for the young progressive myope and how to incorporate this treatment into the eyecare practice.

Straight Outta Tears - Treating and Managing MGD, Lid Bugs and Other Lid Thugs
Description: This course will focus on the eyelids and all the nasty and unsavory creatures that affect the eye's health. The advent of new diagnostic equipment has enabled clinicians to make a point of service differentiating. Treatment options can range from over the counter management to prescription medications, as well as in-office procedures. Getting the lids right will make the vision tight.

Generic vs. Branded - When is it Alright to Permit Substitution
Description: After seven years, a medication that was exclusive can see a generic version come to the market. However, not all generic medications have the same effectiveness, and the costs of generics are on the rise. This course will review the differences, effectiveness and subtle differences between generic and branded medications for ophthalmic use.
