Tara Elsner, LMHC - Associate Director Child Services, Adult & Child Behavoiral Health Tara Elsner, LMHC has dedicated the last 18 years of her professional career working with the most at risk youth and their families. Including working at a state hospital, a residential treatment facility and spending the last 13 years with Adult & Child Center. While with Adult & Child Center, Tara has been a part of several initiatives including Person Centered Treatment Planning, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mental Health First AID, Disaster Response, Wrap Around Service, and developing mental health school based programs for Marion Co and Johnson Co.
Amanda Stropes, LCSW - Associate Service Line Director, Adult & Child Behavioral Health Amanda Stropes, LCSW graduated Indiana University School of Social Work in 2005, with a Master in Social Work. She has worked in the mental health field for over 12 years serving children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance. Amanda has worked at Adult and Child Mental Health Center since 2002. She has worked in many different programs in the agency including child welfare programs, school based programs, outpatient treatment, and wraparound services. Amanda is currently an Associate Director over Child and Adolescent Services at Adult and Child. She is also currently a member of the Marion County Systems of Care Initiative.
Brad Harris, CPA, MSM, CNA, VP Healthcare Development, Millers Health Though Brad Harris has spent much of his nearly 27 years at Miller’s Health Systems in the area of Accounting and Finance, he’s anything but your typical CPA. While pursuing his Master’s Degree in Management, he made the decision to also become certified as a Nursing Assistant, and successfully completed both pursuits in 2009. Brad is seeking a Blackbelt in Lean Healthcare, which will provide the tools and knowledge to actively participate and support improvement initiatives while creating more cohesive care environment. These varied professional and educational experiences have given him a unique view, not just of the healthcare industry, but of the dedicated individuals working on the front lines of patient care, coupled with the logistic and financial challenges presented by the current climate of reform.
As VP of Healthcare Development, Brad’s strong interest in innovative thinking and teambuilding, coupled with this diverse perspective drive him to address the real-world issues facing today’s manager, healthcare worker, and care delivery system designer. In addition to training on leadership, teamwork and communication, Brad is especially focused on issues related to Healthcare Reform, Accountable Care Organizations, Bundling Payments, and 30-Day Readmission Strategies. He is responsible for the entire Marketing Division and Healthcare Development for Miller’s Health Systems.
Dawn Butler, JD, MSW, GRACE Team Care Dawn Butler received her Bachelor of Social Work from Indiana State University and Master of Social Work from Indiana University. Ms. Butler received her law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
After beginning her social work career in long term care, Ms. Butler was one of the first social workers to join the original GRACE program at Eskenazi Health (formerly Wishard Health Services) and served in this capacity for seven years, a span that included the research trial. Upon completing her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Butler worked for a general practice firm before returning to IU Geriatrics in 2012 to serve as the Director of the newly established GRACE Training and Resource Center. As the Center’s director, Ms. Butler designs, implements, and coordinates dissemination and training programs to prepare health care professionals and organizations to implement GRACE Team Care™.
