Join panelists from multiple schools and units at UM in a web-based panel series as they highlight resources, support, and internship opportunities that can benefit your organization. The four sessions will be grounded in our current context of the COVID-19 emergency, offering participants an opportunity to explore the resources that are available to address rapid response needs.
Sessions:
1) Tuesday, June 9th, 2020, 10:00 am - 11:00 am - COVID-19 Emergency Response
Panelists will share how they are working to support organizations and communities cope with the COVID-19 crisis. Innovative partnerships, volunteer resources and toolkits will be highlighted.
2) Thursday, June 11th, 2020, 10:00 am - 11:00 am - Consulting, Advising, and Problem Solving
Panelists will share information on programs and services that support the development of organizations and small businesses, and problem solving with communities. Ways to connect to these programs and services will be highlighted.
3) Tuesday, June 16th, 2020, 10:00 am - 11:00 am - Community Based Participatory Research
Panelists will provide an overview of community based participatory research, highlighting ways university researchers can work collaboratively with community based partners. Participants will be encouraged to explorethe impact of COVID-19 on their community and research opportunities.
4) Thursday, June 18th, 2020, 10:00 am - 11:00 am - Panel on Internships and Volunteerism
Panelists will showcase internship programs and volunteer resources available through the university that can benefit organizations. Wayst o connect to these programs and resources will be highlighted.
