Why Your Patients Won’t Tell Other People That You Are an Amazing Dentist ...And What You Can Do to Change That (Part 1)

Do your patients know what great dentistry is? Well, they know what looks good and feels good, but of course there is much more to dentistry than that. Learn specific strategies that you and your team can use to provide such high-quality service that your patients tell their friends and family.

Objectives:
By the end of this course,

  1. All members of the dental team will understand the importance of communicating quality.
  2. The dental team will see the ways that quality can be communicated.
  3. The team will see simple changes that will help patients feel the exceptional quality of the practice.

Dr. van Dyk has been a practicing general dentist for 47 years. Since 1985, he has been presenting to dental personnel throughout the United States and Canada on subjects ranging from Practice Management, Practice Transitions, and Early Practice Development. As a member of the ADA Council on Dental Practice, he was instrumental in the development of the ADA Success Seminar Series for dental students and has been a speaker for them at most of the schools in the country. He is a presenter for the ADA Certificate Program in Practice Management. His most recent presentations include the recent ADA Annual Session in San Francisco and the 2020 Pacific Dental Conference in Vancouver, Canada. As a faculty member at the UOP Dugoni School of Dentistry, he lectured for many years in the seniors’ course on Practice Management under Dr. David Nielsen. He currently serves as a judge of the success of the Practice Management online program where students manage a virtual practice for one senior quarter. He also taught for 20+ years in the Emergency Department at the dental school.
