Hear Jerry Griffin, MARTIN’S Food Market’s Director of Marketing and External Communications, share how the Giant/MARTIN’S team met the many challenges of introducing MARTIN’S to the Greater Richmond market. From talking to customers to community engagement, Jerry will take us through the numerous facets that helped build a bridge from Ukrop’s to MARTIN’S.
About Jerry: Jerry Griffin is the director of marketing and external communications at GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN’S Food Markets. With GIANT since 2003, Jerry has also held the positions of director of customer relationship management and analysis and senior director of customer relationship management and analysis overseeing the loyalty card marketing. Jerry previously worked as manager of marketing systems and analysis with Tops Markets in Buffalo, NY.
Jerry received both his bachelor’s degree in management and his master’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University at Buffalo. He is a graduate of the Ahold Retail Academy, Penn State Business Academy for High Performance Management and Project Management Fundamentals. In 2009, he was presented the Innovation Partner Award from Catalina Marketing for his work on Mobile Communications. Jerry has also earned a black belt in the Lean Six Sigma program.
