A Uniquely Creative Way to    Celebrate  Mother's Day...

The kitchen might not be the first place that comes
to mind when contemplating the perfect Mother's    Day gift or experience...

But what if good friends, sisters, mothers, daughters -- linked by motherly love and the joy of cooking -- got to spend Saturday, May 9th in the 1830's kitchen of the Morey-Devereaux House for a truly unique culinary experience?

Food historian and hearth cooking expert, Lavada Nahon, is putting together a luscious
early spring menu.  Prepare and then dine on the delicious food you have just cooked
in the open hearth and beehive oven, using seasonal ingredients and recipes
from the early 19th Century.

A great gift for moms and those who love them.
Why not think "inter-generational?"

Don't miss this wonderful opportunity!

Be sure to take a look at the gallery of photos (below) from last year's  workshops.

All workshops feature "seasonally appropriate" fare and provide an opportunity to learn hearth and oven skills, while exploring the history of the foods being prepared.  The workshops conclude with a hearth-to-table dinner in the style of the 1830's-40's.

Additional workshops will be scheduled for 2015.
