"Arte de Triomphe "
This year's winter show will be at the Wilbur D May Museum.
Take-in day is Tuesday, November 13th, from 11am to 1pm.
The show will open on Wednesday, November 14th during regular museum opening hours!
This show is an open themed event. Paintings should be submitted under one of the five standard categories: Portraits & Figures; Florals & Still Lifes; Fur, Fins & Feathers; Abstracts; and Landscapes (which include cityscapes). All Standing Rules for exhibits apply.
Please remember to take photos of your paintings before you submit them to the show!

Important Dates to remember
- Online entry deadline - Friday, November 9th
- Painting Take-in - Tuesday, November 13th, 11am to 1pm
- Show opens November 14th!
- Artists Reception - Saturday, December 1st, 10 am -12 pm
- Painting Pick-up - Sunday, December 16th, 11am to 1pm
Exhibiting Requirements
- Must be a current dues paid member 30 days prior to November 11th
- May submit up to 2 framed images. Only 1 of the 2 may be a full sheet
- Framed and bin art minimum size: 11"x14" (or 154 square inches) on outside edge of mat, where mat fits into frame.
- Framed art maximum size: Full sheet matted
- Framed art with over 22"x28" (or 616 square inches) outer mat must have acrylic glass (i.e. Plexiglass)
- SWS will supply back labels for bin art on take-in date
- The artist Bio Cards and Book will be displayed as in previous exhibits
- All artwork submissions must comply with the SWS Standing Rules
Bin Art Requirements
- Four pieces maximum
- Any size or age
- Must be unframed, cleanly matted, backed and encased in an appropriately-sized achival clear envelope
Art Angels Donations
Please consider donating one or more small paintings for the annual silent auction to raise funds for the Art Angels. You can submit your paintings to Nancy Podewils on take-in day, bring them to the reception on December 1st (preferably before 9:30 am) or call Nancy at 775-343-8100 to arrange for pick-up.

We are continuing with required online entry for this and future SWS Exhibits.
Instead of filling out the form on the dropoff day, we request you click the "Register Now" link below, and enter your information digitally by the online entry deadline!
You can pay online or mail your check payment, payable to SWS to: SWS, c/o Laurel Sweigart, P.O. Box 70564, Reno, NV, 89570.
The SWS will not accept unregistered paintings or payment on take-in day. Please contact the Exhibit Chairs if you need assistance registering online.
Online entry will allow the exhibit team many streamlined opportunities for managing the exhibit, including:
- Anticipate hanging requirements for coordination with the venue
- Produce professional gallery title cards, painting labels, and artist statement cards with a simple mail merge
- Communicate reminders with exhibiting artists about dropoff/pickup dates and other exhibit specific information
- Create a historical record of the exhibit data for future SWS Exhibit planning and coordination
