Pride of RPS: Living Legacies Breakfast 

 

Thanks so much for your interest in attending The Pride of RPS: Living Legacies Breakfast. This program was established by Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation to recognize and applaud alumni of Richmond Public Schools who exemplify the criteria of living extraordinary, honorable lives as inspirational leaders.  A committee of community representatives selected the honorees from an exceptional group of diverse nominees.  This year's honorees will be announced in February.

As you may remember, Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to enrich the educational experience of students in Richmond Public Schools.   In 2014 the Foundation raised $1.7 million to:

• enhance after school activities for nearly 1000 students, 
• upgrade the classrooms of 49 teachers, 
• award 42 scholarships to graduating seniors,
• support professional development for 62 math teachers, 
• provide reading mentors for elementary students, and 
• coordinate in-kind donations of laptops, printers, musical instruments, and books for students.
