Equine Musculosksletal Unwinding is a registered modality with the International Institute or Complementary Therapists. This means that the Holistic Horseworks program, put together by April Love, is recognized as a modality in its own right.
This registration provides the modality with an extra layer of credibility while opening new doors to our students, practitioners, and instructors. Soon we hope also to be able to offer continuing education credits.
For future students who wish to turn this into a profession, you can now join IICT and get cheaper insurance while you train with us to become a practitioner!
Over decades of study, research, and practice, we have found that most body issues in horses stem from an unaddressed 1st rib misalignment, which is actually seen in most horses today. This can start as early as 3 months of age! (How old is your horse now?) This creates all sorts of issues that throw the horse's body out of balance. In our Level 1 Equine Musculoskeletal Unwinding Course, we will be covering diagnosing and treating 1st rib misalignment issues along with a variety of other hidden imbalances.
Here are samples of the techniques and material we will be reviewing live at this clinic...

“I was fortunate enough to participate in the Level 1, “Equine Musculoskeletal Unwinding” three-day workshop that took place over a recent September weekend.
It was a fascinating adventure in learning how to transform a horse in a short period of time. Riley is a nearly 17 hands high senior Thoroughbred. Among other issues, his back was in spasms and I learned how to relax all the muscles in the loin area just with my fingers to give him some much needed relief. He felt so much better after I worked on him as did the 15 other horses that our small but enthusiastic group of people helped.
One of my favorite horses that I worked on was a 30 year-old chestnut mare that thought she was a worthless bag of bones when she came into the round pen. I did some trapped emotion releasing for her and practiced the Equine Musculoskeletal Unwinding techniques. Before long she looked like a million dollars, proud and fluffed up with a new lease on life. It was so very rewarding and heartfelt to see her newly found pride... the improvement was vast."

"I grew up in Sweden, out in the country where animals quickly became my best friends. Horses got to be my favorite animal when l was in my teens and my sisters and l found a trotters stable in our area. We visited the horses and soon started working with them. From this time on, horses have always been in my life."
