This program, co-presented by John Eory, Esq., Chair of the Family Law Department at Stark and Stark and Stacey Udell, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, Director of Valuation and Litigation Services at HBK, will examine the historic influence of taxes in such areas as alimony, child support and equitable distribution of marital assets, as well as how the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017 creates new opportunities and challenges.
About Our Speakers:
John S. Eory is a senior shareholder at Stark & Stark. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and an AAML certified divorce arbitrator. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Family Law Section), the New Jersey State Bar Association, (Executive Committee, Family Law Section), the Matrimonial Lawyers Alliance and the Mercer County Bar Association where he serves as a trustee. A former chair of the District VII Ethics Committee, Mr. Eory has received the prestigious Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law, as well as a Certificate of Recognition from the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Eory is a military veteran and resides in Lawrenceville with his wife Jennifer.
Stacey D. Udell is the Director of Valuation and Litigation Services for the Mid-Atlantic Region of HBK Valuation Group, LLC. With other twenty years of experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, economic damages, and litigation support services, her experience includes valuations of business and professional practices for purposes of: bankruptcy, divorce, ESOP compliance, estate and gift tax planning and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, and damage studies.
Continuing Legal Education Credit
Participants will receive a certificate valid for 1 CLE credit certified in Pennsylvania valid for reciprocal credit in New Jersey and New York. A gourmet lunch will be served.
