The Mitchell Institute is honored to host Republic of Korea Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Hyungchul Kim for an in-depth discussion regarding security dynamics in North East Asia, the collaborative relationship between the Air Forces of the United States and the Republic of Korea, and details regarding the Republic of Korea Air Force’s military modernization plan. 60 years after the armistice, the Republic of Korean is one of the United States’ core treaty allies in East Asia and is a key partner in the “Pacific Pivot.” USAF and ROKAF forces stand united as key partners through numerous collaborative engagements on the Korean Peninsula, in Asia and around the world.
