2023 Live Stream Audiology Resources Boot Camp: Foundations of Compliance, Coding, Billing & Pricing

5Please join us for our annual two-day training event, focusing on the foundations of coding, managed care/revenue cycle, pricing and differentiation, and ethical/legal considerations in an audiology practice. This course is geared to audiologists, audiology staff, and students. This course offers up to 16.5 hours of audiology continuing education.

Audiology Resources will be hosting a LIVE STREAMED (from Chicago) Audiology Boot Camp 2023: Foundations of Compliance, Coding, Billing, and Pricing on Thursday, February 9, 2023 and Friday, February 10, 2023.  There will be no live audience in Chicago. The course will run Thursday and Friday from 8AM to 5:30PM CST. There will be a 15 minute morning and afternoon break and a 45 minute lunch break each day. 

This event WILL address available OTC/Prescription hearing aid regulatory changes and Medicare physician order changes!

Audiology Resources and their partner, Mainstream Media, are offering a live stream educational event!  You can participate in the event from your home or office in REAL TIME. 


 

 

 

Even though you are viewing this remotely, you will still have the ability to ask questions, in real time, earn continuing education hours, and get copies of the materials.  

Each event also comes with access to the slides (available for download prior to the event) and up to six months of no charge, one on one questions, guidance and coaching! 

Audiology Resources, Inc. is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 1.65 CEUs. The course is geared to audiology practices, otolaryngology practices which house an audiology department, hospital audiology departments or hearing aid dispensing practices which employ audiologists.  Registration is open to administrators, practice managers, audiologists, coders, office staff, hearing aid dispensers and AuD students.  

Day #1 Agenda:

Morning: Compliance and Ethical Legal (HIPAA, Telehealth, Anti-Kickback, False Claims, Stark Laws, Licensure, OTC/Prescription and Documentation) 

Afternoon: Fundamentals of Coding (CPT, Including Telehealth and Evaluation and Management, ICD10, HCPCS, Modifiers, Place of Service Codes and Merit-Based Incentive Payment System) 

Day #2 Agenda:

Morning: Managing Managed Care/Revenue Cycle (Review of Termonology, Medicare, including Physician Order Changes, Medicaid Basics, Managed Care Enrollment, Contracting and Credentialing, Billing Processes and Procedures, Insurance Verification, Private Insurance Billing Fundamentals, and Third-party Adminstrators/Networks Tips)

Afternoon: Pricing and Differentiation (Creation and Monetization of a 21st century, Patient Centered, Evidence-Based Audiology Practice, Teleaudiology, Creation of Pricing and Delivery Models, Including Unbundling and Service Delivery Models, Hearing Aid Rental Programs, and Concierge/Mobile Care Models) 

Dr. Cavitt will address questions following the conclusion of the Boot Camp. This service is built into the cost of the event.  AUDIOLOGY RESOURCES WILL ONLY ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM PAID REGISTRANTS, BOTH DURING OR AFTER THE COURSE AND WILL ONLY SUPPLY COURSE MATERIALS TO PAID REGISTRANTS. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. No charge questions are answered for a period of time based upon your level of registration:

  • Two-Day Boot Camp registrants: No charge questions and guidance is available until August 31, 2023.
  • One-Day Boot Camp registrants: No charge questions and guidance is available until May 31, 2023.

THERE IS A MECHANISM TO RECEIVE A REDUCED RATE FOR ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES FROM THE SAME PRACTICE OR BUSINESS or FOR STUDENTS!

Registration Information:
  • When registering for the Boot Camp, each registrant must register with a unique name and email address.  This is a CEU requirement. 
  • CEUs are ONLY available for paid registrants. 
  • CEUs are ONLY granted for the time logged into the event. 
  • The recording of the Live Stream event will be available on our host site, Thinkific, by March 15, 2023.  If you purchase recorded access, you will have recorded access to the event for six months after registering for the event on the Thinkific site.  This purchase does not include or extend the length of the no-charge guidance, increase the potential contuning education credit beyond 16.0 hours or assign continuing education credit to another, non-registered provider. 
  • If you are seeking association CEUs, you must include your membership number in your registration.  CEUs cannot be processed without your member number. 
  • Please let us know, in advance, if you require a certificate of attendance so we can have it prepared and sent to you. Certficates are available for attendees who request a certficate and who are NOT AAA members (as those will be reported and appear on your registry). Certificates will be sent following our receipt of the log-in information from Mainstream Media.  This could mean that cerificates are disseminated around March 1, 2023. 
  • Registrants will not be able to record the event.  The video and electronic slides are the property of Audiology Resources, Inc. and cannot be used, printed, recorded or disseminated without the written consent of Audiology Resources, Inc.  Registrants can purchase, for an additional fee, recorded access to the event. 
  • Booklet purchases are non-refundable once the item has shipped.
    Boot camp registrations are non-refundable after Thursday, January 26, 2023 (as booklets will be shipped and log-in materials and links prepared and sent). There is a $25 processing fee for all refunds.
