Winooski Schools Tour - A Vermont CSI Event 

Tour recently completed and in progress spaces at the Winooski Schools. Learn about how the Owner's vision was implemented to create key sight lines for occupant supervision, daylight monitors for bringing daylight deep into the building, inclusive flexible team spaces, building performance, and resolving challenging life safety requirements.

Session submitted for 1.5 AIA LU/HSW credits. Confirmation on HSW credits pending.

Learning objectives:
o    Through presentation, learn about the Owner’s vision and how it is specifically related to occupant health, safety, and welfare.
o    See examples of the Owner’s vision in built form, including key sight lines for occupant supervision, daylight monitors for bringing daylight deep into the building, and team spaces, designed to be inclusive and flexible.
o    Learn about the building performance, envelope construction, and air sealing measures, including reports on air tightness from the Building Envelope commissioner.
o    Learn about specific challenges to meet Egress code and how these issues have been resolved to the AHJ’s satisfaction.

Attendees will need a mask to enter finished spaces in the school and to enter areas under construction will need a hard hat, eye protection, long pants, high visibility vest, and close toed shoes. Please bring your own protective equipment. Limited additional supplies will be on hand.
