Saving Limbs, Saving Lives
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Awareness Educational Seminar

PAD is a chronic circulatory condition, which if left untreated can result in unnecessary limb amputations. PAD affects approximately 18 million US citizens, and 160,000 to 180,000 of those patients are estimated to undergo limb amputation this year. This year’s theme is “Saving Limbs, Saving Lives.”

Peripheral artery disease symptoms include, but are not limited to:

  • leg pain when walking
  • painful cramping in hip, thigh or calf muscles after walking or climbing
  • leg numbness or weakness
  • coldness in your lower leg or foot, especially when compared with the other side

Featured Speakers from Cardiology Associates of Schenectady:

  • Dr. Satish Madiraju, MD, FACP, FACC, FSVM, FSCAI
  • Dr. Peter D. Cospito, D.O., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.
