Mission Statement:
The Action Long Island Young Adult Alliance seeks to unite young adults living and working throughout Long Island in attempt to foster the discussion of and participation in key issues that affect them both individually and collectively; to deliberate on ways to enter the policymaking debate and effect positive change for all Long Islanders; and to build and maintain momentum of the young adult community to serve as a network for implementation of policies that will empower young adults to play a key role in shaping Long Island's future.

Meet the Young Adults:
Frances Picone has joined Exchange Solutions, Inc. in June of 2005 to take on the role as Senior Exchange Coordinator. In 2008, Frances earned her accreditation as a Certified Exchange Specialist®, sponsored by Federation of Exchange Accommodators. She has successfully structured over a thousand tax-deferred exchanges.
Prior to Miss Picone’s employment at ESI, she devoted her studies as a business student at The American University and Farmingdale State College. Frances received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and has a strong background in real estate and accounting. She continues to take her career to a higher level and has added to the expansion of ESI and the success of her colleagues.
Miss Picone is also a Certified Paralegal, practicing Real Estate sales agent and the Administrative Assistant of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS). She is an active member of the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR), Melville Chamber of Commerce, Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG), and The Retail Network (TRN). Furthermore, Frances united with ALI-YAA in June of 2010 in an effort to bring together young adults living and working throughout Long Island. “It is time for the futures of LI to put in their request…If we do not ask, we will not receive.
Louis Imbroto joined the Long Island Contractors’ Association in 2010 as Manager of Policy & Government Affairs, serving as liaison to federal, state and local elected officials and to governmental and agency representatives involved in funding, regulating and approving infrastructure projects. Prior to joining LICA, Louis held a variety of legal and government affairs positions, including vehicle forfeiture in DWI matters at the Nassau County Attorney's office, corporate, real estate and land use matters in the law firm of Forchelli, Curto, Crowe, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Cohn, the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, quality of life initiatives in the Town of Babylon Attorney's Office, and as a legislative intern for NYS Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick.
He is active in many local organizations including the Nassau and Suffolk Bar Associations and the Columbian Lawyers Association, as well as the Long Island Association’s Transportation Task Force, Action Long Island’s Transportation Task Force, and Long Island Metro-Business Action.
Louis holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where he was elected Student Bar Association delegate three consecutive years. In addition, he served as Articles & Symposia Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of Law & Policy and President of the Italian-American Law Students Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in Political Science, with a concentration in Political Philosophy and a minor in Theology. Louis lives in Plainview.
