Canine Massage Therapy Training

Pre-Requisite: Learn to Massage Your Dog 15 hour course and Level 1 Canine Massage Therapy Training or 100 hours of Canine Massage Training from another NCBTMB or IAAMB approved school (must provide transcripts).

Overview: The Level 2, 100 Hour Canine Massage Therapy Training program is broken down into 4 modules of 25 hours each. The modules may be taken in any order. This is an Advanced Massage Therapy Training when it comes to learning Canine Massage Therapy and allows you to sit for the National Board Certification Exam for Animal Acupressure and Massage.

Module 1

In this 25 hour module, the focus is on Anatomy & Physiology (review of 60 muscles of the canine muscular system, review directions and systems, review bones and joints, more indepth bones and joints, advanced terminology) and Neuromuscular Therapy for Canines (review massage treatments and techniques specific to each treatment, trigger point work, friction, indepth palpation, problem areas for dogs).

All classes at Abundant Life Massage Education are approved by the NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) for Massage Therapists.  We are also a "Preferred Provider" for IAAMB (International Association for Animal Massage and Bodywork).
