Web vs. Will: Digital Assets and Estate Planning 

Jeffrey T. Palzer, Managing Partner of the Omaha law firm of Kellogg & Palzer, P.C., will present an informative seminar on what you need to know to protect your digital assets (your online identity, accounts, and information) with proper estate planning.

Topics to be covered include:

  • What are digital assets?
  • The importance of planning for control and transfer of digital assets
  • Legal challenges to transferring administration and control
  • Legal/Ethical pitfalls in administering another person’s digital assets
  • Current State of Digital Asset law, Federal and Nebraska
  • Forms and language to include in estate planning

The workshop is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Seating is limited to 40 participants.  It will be held in the Education Room at First State Bank & Trust Company - 1005 East 23rd Street, Fremont.  Please enter the middle doors on the south side that say “Education Center/Trust & Investments” above them.
