Indian Cuisine

Indian Food is as diverse collection of many ethnic and cultural groups in India. Tradition, ethnicity, geographic location, religion and individual preference define a typical meal in India. Indian Food is very rich with variety of spices, 20 to 30 of them —cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger, to name a few—and there are an infinite number of ways of using them. Those spices all have great health benefits, and they create a very tasty, healthy and well satisfying meal.

Indian Chicken Korma is one of the best Indian dishes; chicken is braised in a velvety sauce made with butter, coconut milk, cream or yogurt plus some mild spices. It is rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Its eaten with a basmati Rice and Naan bread.

MOONG DAL “Yellow Mung Beans Laced w/Herbs” and FRAGNANT BASMATI RICE

Dal is as common in India as mashed potatoes are in US, it defines Indian cooking, often constituting the main daily source of protein, especially for vegetarians. A generic Hindi word for dried legumes--peas, lentils, beans--dal has come to signify a whole universe of dishes simmered with spices and served with chapati bread in the north and rice in the south. India has many varieties of dal recipes, each region, each state having their own delicious recipes.

It is a staple Indian food and it is found in every Indian table every day, rich or poor, rain or shine.
