Join us May 11 for the Team Evesham and Outdoor Club of South Jersey Spring Group Riding Skills & Safety Clinic!
This free 5 hour classroom/clinic event is designed for riders at all levels who want to improve their understanding of group riding principles, such as: Traffic navigation, obstacle avoidance, emergency management skills (flat, collision etc), and paceline skills. You will learn and then practice proven group riding safety techniques.

Course schedule:
- Registration: 8 am
- Classroom Module: 8:30 am - 10:30 am
- Parking Lot Drills: 11 am - 1 pm
What you will learn:
- Foundation skills (safe proximity riding distrances/techniques, communication with other riders, how to single up or double up safely, who has right of way in a group and more)
- How to navigate traffic safely in a group
- State bicycle laws
- Emergency management skills (flat handling at speed, road obstacles avoidance, collision avoidance/management, car turning "T-bone" handling)
- How to ride in a paceline safely
What you will practice:
- How to stop suddenly
- How to turn "instantly"
- How to dodge obstacles
- How to safly look behind you without weaving (not as easy as it sounds... wait until you try it)
There is no charge to attend, but your must register (below). You will be asked to confirm your attendance shortly before the event in order to guarantee your space.
