CO-PRESENTED BY

August 19, 2020 11:00am - 12:30pm

The COVID-19 pandemic forced music educating, music performing and music presenting organizations to a temporary standstill, impacting an unprecedented number of people. The Presser Foundation and American Composers Forum, Philadelphia Chapter invites colleagues to share thoughts about resilience, creativity, and programming during pandemic. The five Idea Forums take place between August 12th and  August 21st.

The August 19th session features representatives from Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and Wilmington Children's Chorus.

  • Philadelphia Youth Orchestra will share how the PYO Music Institute shifted quickly to provide programming and performances in the digital world.  They will highlight the opportunities and challenges that arose from providing programming through technology.
  • Wilmington Children's Chorus will share how they found community in a time of uncertainty and used free, engaging, and high-quality resources to keep families and members learning and expressing themselves.
